Super League Triathlon has become known for its ability to create new stars in the sport and one of the brightest to emerge has been Hayden Wilde.
The young New Zealander was largely unknown outside of XTERRA circles until his Super League performances changed all that.
And if there is one race above all others with which he has become synonymous, it’s Super League Malta.
SLTReloaded this weekend revisits the 2018 event where his nickname ‘Maltese Falcon’ was born and where Wilde marked himself out as a true rising star.

There are also fascinating all-American battles in the women’s race, some lightning transitions in the men’s and another thrilling round of Vincent Luis v Henri Schoeman.
As part of Super League’s commitment to keep triathlon fans entertained during lockdown, we are offering the chance to watch all of our races for FREE over the course of eight weeks.
Racing in Malta 2018 starts at 10am BST for the women and 11.30am BST for the men. Saturday sees the Triple Mix format before the Enduro rounds things off on Sunday.
