Super League Triathlon today confirms that Garmin products will again help deliver key insights into the action at the Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift when the World Championship Series begins in Montreal on Saturday, February 25.

Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift is a trailblazing concept pioneered by Super League Triathlon. The real-life and virtual reality blended racing provides an immersive viewing experience for fans both watching at the venue and on broadcast. Athletes swim their 200m legs in Olympic pools, bike 4km on static trainers and run 1km on self-powered treadmills multiple times, with their efforts turned into racing gameplay by Zwift – all over a unique, short and action-packed format.

Athletes battle it out to be crowned the triathlon esports World Champion thanks to Super League’s partnership with World Triathlon.

This year’s World Championship Series kicks off in Montreal (February 25) before heading to Switzerland (March 12) and a Grand Final in London (April 8).

Garmin has participated in the World Championship Series for the past two years and will do so again this year. Prior to racing, athletes will step on the Index S2 Smart Scale to ensure the correct data is given to Zwift and guarantee a fair race with watts per kg a key factor during virtual racing.

During the race, athletes will utilise the Tacx® NEO 2T Smart, an exceptionally quiet, accurate and powerful smart trainer with a road feel feature that provides a realistic indoor cycling experience and gives the world’s best triathletes the best platform to shine.

In addition, the athletes will wear the HRM-ProPlus premium heart rate strap to track even more data during swimming, biking and running activities. It will also let athletes analyse their performance and help fans understand the incredible efforts of their heroes.
