Wildcard Reveal: Matt Hauser & Sophie Coldwell – Our Best Swimmers Return

RBC Super League Triathlon Jersey 2019 will welcome two racers from opposite sides of the world as another pair of Wildcards are revealed.

There is a man from Australia ready to shake things up while a British female joins ready to set the pace in the water and really test the established order. They might be young, but they have already raced in Super League triathlon for the past 2 years.

Both the male and female fields feature the top ten Ranked Athletes from last season and nine who have won their Golden Tickets via the Qualifiers. They are to be joined by a mixture of established names and the next generation of triathlon superstars via the Wildcard system.

There are still more spots to be announced, but Super League is delighted to confirm the following two athletes will toe the line in Jersey on 28-29 September:

Matthew Hauser
Australian prospect Hauser is one of triathlon’s up and coming talents. At only 21 he already has a Commonwealth Gold medal on his mantel piece via the Mixed Relay and his ability to perform in such fast-moving formats means he will be a danger to the established stars of Super League.

Sophie Coldwell
Joining yesterday’s Wildcard Georgia Taylor-Brown is another amazing British female athlete. Coldwell is one of triathlon’s best swimmers, making her a real threat in Super League whose formats place greater importance on ability in the water. The 24-year-old is an aggressive racer whose gutsy style will interrupt anybody thinking they can sit in and cruise in Jersey.
