It was one of the closest and most dramatic finishes in triathlon history.
Katie Zaferes and Cassandre Beaugrand were shoulder-to-shoulder on the finishing straight at Super League Singapore. There were accusations of elbows being used and uncertainty over exactly who had crossed the line first.
It was drama of the highest order to round off a spectacular finale to the 2018 Championship Series, and our latest stop in SLTReloaded.
A puncture for series leader Vincent Luis also dialled up the interest in the men’s race as Jonny Brownlee produced another resurgent display to challenge the Frenchman.
With double points on offer for the season ending finale, there was a lot on the line, both in terms of pride and prize money. And it helped to produce some truly spectacular racing.
As part of Super League’s commitment to keeping triathlon fans entertained during lockdown, we are offering the chance to watch all of our races for FREE over the course of eight weeks.
Racing in Singapore starts at 10am BST for the women and 12pm BST for the men. Saturday sees the Eliminator format before the Enduro rounds things off on Sunday.
