In the women’s field USA Olympian and three-time Super League podium athlete Summer Rappaport joins, alongside fellow American Gina Sereno and Britain’s Jessica Fullagar, fresh from winning a Commonwealth Games gold medal as a guide for Katie Crowhurst.

It has all meant a lot of decisions for the Team Managers as they aim to recruit the right faces to shake up the Leaderboard.

Sperl joins the SLT Rhinos in place of Silva, while SLT Sharks boss Michelle Dillon got the choice of the other two men with Panagiotis Bitados missing this week. She opted for Bove, which means Ironman star and pro cyclist Wurf lands on the table topping Bahrain Victorious Scorpions in place of Kenji Nener, who is unable to compete in Malibu.

On the women’s it was Annie Emmerson with first pick to replace Sophie Coldwell for the resurgent SLT Cheetahs, and she went for the experience of Rappaport. Fullagar was recommended to the Scorpions by friend and training partner Georgia Taylor-Brown and Manager Chris McCormack went with the opinion of his star woman with the Brit replacing Cassandre Beaugrand for one week. Gina Sereno will also be joining the Fan Team Cheetahs in Malibu.
