Super League’s Women To Kick-off esports Campaign

It’s the turn of Super League’s women to begin their esport careers tonight as the all-star triathlon squad tackle the latest race in the Zwift Classics series.

The men kicked things off on Friday night with Marten Van Riel finishing 11th in the London International.

This evening’s race will see the likes of Cassandre Beaugrand, Taylor Spivey and Georgia Taylor-Brown in action for the Super League squad as part of the Trofeo Bologna race.

Race times and how to watch
The build-up begins at 7pm BST with the racing starting at 7:10pm BST.

Will McCloy and Chris McCormack will be leading Super League’s coverage of tonight’s event, and will be bringing you the very best insights from our squad.

The Super League All-Stars team
Super League has a squad of ten women, of which five will enter each race. Tonight’s stellar line-up is:
Cassandre Beaugrand (France)
Georgia Taylor-Brown (Great Britain)
Taylor Spivey (USA)
Leonie Periault (France)
Ilaria Zane (Italy)

The race
Trofeo Bologna is a scratch race format that also features a Queen of the Mountain (QOM) award.
The route is Zwift’s Bologna route with the QOM awarded for the second time up the climb. The total distance is 24.6km (15.3 miles) and the course is 2 laps.

Prize money
As this is a scratch race prizes go to individual riders, including for the QOM.
First place picks up a cool $1,000 and the race pays down to 15th place. The top three in the QOM also win prize money.
