Super League’s esports squad debut: All You Need to Know

Super League’s esports squad make their debut this evening with the men racing in the London International as part of the Zwift Classics series.

As part of Super League’s constant drive to innovate it has become the first triathlon brand to enter a team into the esports arena.

Tonight’s stellar line-up includes a double Olympic gold medallist and the current Super League and ITU World Champion.

Race times and how to watch
The build-up begins at 7pm BST with the racing starting at 7:10pm BST.

The Super League All-Stars team
Super League has a squad of ten men, of which five will enter each race. Tonight’s stellar line-up is:
Alistair Brownlee (Great Britain)
Vincent Luis (France)
Hayden Wilde (New Zealand)
Ben Kanute (USA)
Marten Van Riel (Belgium)

The opposition
There is some further interest in the world of triathlon with long distance specialist Lionel Sanders lining up for the Canyon ZCC team.
Among the other Pro cycling teams taking part are NTT Continental Cycling Team, Hagens Berman Axeon, Ribble-Weldtite Pro Team, SEG Racing Academy and Vitus Pro Cycling.

The race
The London International is a scratch race format that also features an intermediate King of the Mountain (KOM) award.
The route is Zwift’s London Loop with a finish on the famous Box Hill. The total distance is 24.7km (15.3 miles) and the course is 1.5 laps.

Prize money
As this is a scratch race prizes go to individual riders, including for the KOM.
First place picks up a cool $1,000 and the race pays down to 15th place. The top three in the KOM also win prize money.
