Super League Set to Challenge for Watopia Cup

Super League’s women return to action aiming to deliver more success tonight in the Zwift Classics series.

Following on from the men picking up a top ten finish in the last outing, the women take centre stage this evening for their final race in the series.

The Watopia Cup is an individual points race and looks like being fast and furious.

Here’s all you need to know:

Race times and how to watch

The build-up begins at 6.35pm BST with Will McCloy and Chris McCormack joined by athletes before they get going with the racing starting at 7:10pm BST.

You can watch all the action live on Super League’s YouTube channel.

The Super League All-Stars team

Super League has a squad of ten women, of which five will enter each race. Tonight’s stellar line-up is:

Rachel Klamer (Netherlands)
Sophie Coldwell (Great Britain)
Lisa Perterer (Austria)
Angelica Olmo (Italy)
Ilaria Zane (Italy)

The race

The Watopia Cup is an individual points race over two laps of the Jungle Circuit which includes plenty of action on dirt roads. Points will be scored for one intermediate crossing of the start/finish line and then again at the finish, where the most points are available.

There is an elevation gain of 79m per lap, a lead-in distance of 5.6km and a total distance of 21.4km.

Prize money

As this is a scratch race prizes go to individual riders.

First place picks up a cool $1,000 and the race pays down to 15th place.
