Wild weather failed to prevent Super League from delivering more drama as SLTReloaded this weekend lands in the 2019/20 Championship Series.
All seemed calm and serene enough on Saturday as RBC Super League Triathlon Jersey 2019 hit St Helier.
A new format for the new Series saw a bumper four Sprint Enduro Semi-Finals on the Saturday – two for the men and two for the women – with the top 15 in each winning through to Sunday’s final.

They were scheduled to be raced as an Enduro with three rounds of continuous swim-bike-run.
However, storms overnight and strong winds wreaked havoc, temporarily destroying the course and forcing the cancellation of the bike legs on safety grounds.
For the women the format was altered to swim-run three times. By the time the men got going later in the afternoon the conditions had calmed enough to extend that to four rounds of swim-run.
With so much up for grabs at the start of a new Series the racing was intense with Cassandre Beaugrand and Katie Zaferes renewing their closely fought rivalry.
In the men’s, Vincent Luis faced a Final day threat from countryman Pierre Le Corre with the pair unable to be separated until the final moments.
There were also some real surprises as tactics around not wearing trainers for the run delivered some shocks.
As part of Super League’s commitment to keeping triathlon fans entertained during lockdown, we are offering the chance to watch all of our races for FREE over the course of eight weeks.
Racing in Jersey starts at 10am BST for the women and 12.15pm BST for the men for Saturday’s Semi-Finals and at 10am and 12pm respectively for Sunday’s Finals.
