Super League Ottawa to Return in 2020

Super League Triathlon will return to Canada’s capital city in 2020 with all to play for the Pros and a host of exciting race options and spectating experiences for the whole family to enjoy.

Ottawa is once again on the Super League Qualifiers calendar on 4-5 July after an outstanding debut in 2019 which saw athletes get the rare chance to swim in the famous Rideau Canal. Age Group registrations open on December 2nd.

There is so much on the line for the Pros with the event providing the final chance to win a Golden Ticket into the 2019/20 Championship Series.

Only the top three men and women across the line will earn a contract for triathlon’s highest profile and most lucrative Professional race Series and spectators will be able to watch the best in the business for free and at close quarters.

There are plenty of options for amateurs no matter what their experience or ability to get involved too with Sprint and Enduro races as well as relay options. The weekend will also showcase some of the best young talent around with Youth and Junior races.

Super League CEO and co-founder, Michael D’hulst, said:

Super League is delighted to be returning to Ottawa for the second time after a hugely successful debut year.

There is a big demand for Super League racing across the world and so it is fantastic to have a presence in Canada’s capital city and to give the chance for its thriving triathlon community to participate and spectate close to home.

With this race being the final Qualifier for the Championship Series there will be a big field of Pros going full tilt to try and secure a contract which will make for exciting viewing.

Super League will also deliver its famous spectator experience, allowing fans to get close to the action and enjoy a fun weekend for the entire family as well as a whole host of racing options that offer something for everyone to enjoy.

Ottawa is one of four Super League Qualifiers to be confirmed for 2020 with events in Bali on 3-5 April, Salinas, Ecuador, on 24-26 April and Poznan, Poland, on 27-28 June. There is one further event to be announced in early 2020.

Super League’s 2019/20 Championship Series will resume after the Olympics.
