Super League Triathlon Ottawa: The Adventure Begins!

On the weekend of 3-4 August 2019, Super League Triathlon (SLT) is heading to Canada’s treasure trove of a capital city, Ottawa, for the Canadian leg of our Qualifier Series. The event weekend will be pumping as the one million strong population turn out in force to experience the thrill of SLT.

Want To Swim In An Ice Rink?

The swim element of our weekend is in the historic UNESCO Rideau Canal, a 19th-century construction that covers 202km. Winding through the heart of Ottawa, it connects into the Ottawa River through the dramatically stepped locks next to Parliament Hill. In summer, this stretch of water is filled with boaters, but come winter it becomes the world’s longest (7.8km) naturally frozen skating rink!

Fancy Spending The Weekend In Jail?

The Ottawa Jail Hostel is a unique opportunity to spend a night in what used to be a fully functioning jail! When it closed in 1972, it was purchased by Hostelling International who converted it leaving much of the original structure intact.

The top floor, which served as the jail’s death row, has been restored to its original condition and daily tours are conducted… that is if you have the stomach for it!
