Super League Poznan: Top 5 Must Knows For The Weekend

The countdown is on as Pros and Age Groupers prepare for Super League Triathlon’s first European event of the summer.

Super League lands in Poland this weekend for a spectacular array of racing, including the Pros battling it out for a coveted qualification to the 2019 Championship Series.

Here’s are just a few of the things to look out for in Poznan:

  • Golden Tickets

It’s the prize every triathlete wants – a pass into the Super League 2019 Championship Series.

With huge money on the line, worldwide exposure, and the chance to race the very best in the most exciting venues and formats, there is a lot on the line for the Pros in Poznan.

Just three men and three women will triumph and secure their spot on the start line of the first race of the Championship Series, RBC Super League Triathlon Jersey, on 28-29 September. Full start lists will be released shortly!

  • Triple the fun

The pros will be racing the Triple Mix on Saturday afternoon.

Super League’s thrilling format will push the Professionals to their very limits.

The Triple Mix will see athletes race three triathlons – a swim-bike-run, a run-swim-bike and a bike-swim-run – with ten minutes between each.

The pursuit style and live elimination of athletes who fall 90 seconds off the pace means those who get the Golden Tickets will have truly earned them. Check out our triple mix video explainer here.

  • Back for another go

There are three Pro athletes who toed the line last year in Poznan who return for another crack this time out.

Ollie Turner competed in the whole of the Super League 2018 Championship Series while Bartosz Semeda and Jacek Krawczyk are hoping their inside knowledge of the course will give them an advantage.

  • Something for everyone

Age Groupers are well catered for with a huge array of different distances on offer.

From Super League’s famous Enduro format the options range all the way up to a half distance race.

  • Don’t forget the kids

In keeping with Super League’s family friendly ethos, there are even kid’s triathlons, with different distances depending upon the child’s age.

What better a weekend than to race, support your family doing the same and watch our amazing Pros battle it out in the heat of a tense qualification battle?
