BCA Super League Triathlon Bali 2020 is the perfect excuse for a dream holiday and some world class sport all bundled into one.
Bali is a must visit for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and soak up the sunshine, enjoy the white sands and blue seas.
If that sounds pretty appealing then you up the stakes still further when Super League comes to town.
On the weekend of June 13-14 there will be a festival of Age Group and Professional racing set against the backdrop of some of the most picturesque and stunning settings you could wish for.
There are race options for everybody from beginners through to the Pros, a chance for the whole family to get involved and, of course, to enjoy an amazing holiday too.
It might all seem like a dream away, but fortunately Bali is geared up to welcome holiday makers – and triathletes – from across the globe.
Here’s a quick guide to the travel options:
Denpasar International Airport, also known as Ngurah Rai International Airport, is just 13km from the race venue at the Ayodya Hotel in Nusa Dua so upon arrival in Bali life can be very easy.
There are direct international flights from many parts of the world.
In the region the likes of Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Singapore and Thailand all have direct flights, while there are various domestic options from within Indonesia.
You can also get there direct from right across Australia and New Zealand while those in Europe and the USA can easily connect with most of the major international airlines.
Jakarta is a long drive but also quite possible and once you are on Bali the road network is very simple and quick to get around. That’s partly because Bali is only 140km by 80km.
It opens up the possibility of enjoying all the outdoor recreational activities that are on offer such as walks in nature, diving, surfing and even things such as white water rafting. But all of that is probably best left until after racing.
There are numerous cruise liners which stop in Bali if you really want a bit of luxury travel to and from the race.
For those that would prefer a shorter ride but a chance to soak it all up on the water then fly into Singapore, Sumarta or Java and catch a boat.
