Super League Triathlon can confirm that tomorrow’s Age Group Enduro, Age Group Sprint and GO TRI events are planned to take place as a swim-run as previously communicated.
Super League has worked tirelessly with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure the safety of all participants in the forecast weather conditions and to provide the best experience possible.
We are delighted to have been able to secure use of the marina to allow competitors the chance to swim the same 300m course as the Pros, which is a truly once in a lifetime opportunity.
The races will then go on to a run, which will take place on a 2.5km course. Competitors have the choice of whether to complete one or two loops of the run.
Age Group prizes will be awarded for both those completing the one loop course and those completing two loops.
Relay teams are welcome to still participate as a pair, or all three team members can take part as individuals if they wish. Any participant who wants to complete just one 2.5km lap is free to do so.
As a gesture of goodwill, Super League will also be offering all entrants a 50% DISCOUNT on the race of your choice next year and will send your unique code in the coming week.
We will continue to monitor the situation and issue final updates and starting instructions on race morning.
The race meeting zone has been relocated to the Fanzone at 7.30am on Sunday. Please note, this is the time for all athletes who were due not compete in the Age Group Enduro, Age Group Sprint or GO TRI events.
Super League is not anticipating any changes to the Championship races.
