Malta'19 ○ season'19
Malta turned pink as record numbers of competitors took part in the Nike Fun Run.
The event, which supported Pink October raising awareness of breast cancer, was raced over distances of 1.3km, 3km and 5km.
It proved a massive hit with competitors of all ages and abilities coming out for a good cause and to get fit in the process.
The runners enjoyed their laps around the same course that the world’s best Professional triathletes would tackle in their globally televised Super League Malta Finals in the afternoon.
The race was started by a host of Super League stars who also took part in a selection of pink shorts and glitter, including Kerry Morris, Matt Hauser, Ollie Turner and Michael Arishita, with many runners also choosing to wear pink or take advantage of the chance to die their hair pink or have their nails painted before setting off.
