Taylor Spivey admits she will need to be on her ‘A Game’ in order to take the Super League Triathlon Championship Series title in the deciding race in NEOM.
The American star confessed her shock that she sits joint top of the Overall Leaderboard with Georgia Taylor-Brown after four action packed Rounds of racing.
But it means it is all on the line in a one-off Grand Finale in NEOM, with the duo going head-to-head for the title.
Spivey is delighted to be in the reckoning, but believes she has to be at her very best to get the better of defending champion Taylor-Brown.
She said: “I never expected to be tied with her at this point in the Series so it’s pretty cool.
“It’s all going to come down to NEOM and I am going to need to be on my game because in Toulouse I wasn’t.
“Honestly, it’s going to be pretty tough. To perform I need to be on my A game and in Toulouse I made a lot of silly mistakes mounting my bike.
“I need to work on those little things and hope I have a better day in NEOM.”
