Next Generation: From Juniors To Seniors At Arena Games Triathlon Montreal

Super League Triathlon Jersey 2019

Super League Triathlon has gained an enviable reputation for developing the next generation of talent and that is set to continue with an incredible eight athletes stepping up from the SLT junior ranks to the seniors when Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift kicks-off in Montreal.

That line-up of developing stars includes two athletes from Great Britain and six from Canada, who are getting a truly unique opportunity to perform in front of a home crowd.

One who won’t be fazed by the experience having already tasted Super League action is Dan Dixon, who raced all five Championship Series events on the circuit in 2022 and is becoming increasingly established at this level. In addition, Dixon also had Arena Games experience last year.

The same cannot be said for the others. The second Brit is Jack Stanton-Stock, who now lives and trains in the USA alongside his friend Dixon, while the Canadian athletes are also stepping somewhat into the unknown.

They will never have raced in events as high profile, with millions watching on a global broadcast, hundreds of fans in an Arena and the likes of Lionel Sanders and Jeanni Metzler also on the bill.

Probably the most talked about is local star Noemie Beaulieu, who is rated as one of the brightest talents on the scene. Beaulieu raced in the youth category at Super League Triathlon Jersey 2019, and finished second in a stunning display far from home, as well as featuring at Super League Ottawa.

Other athletes who have taken on the Super League challenge as juniors, either overseas in the likes of Jersey or on home turf in the Ottawa event are Filip Mainville, Nicholas Harvey, Leo Roy, William Nolet and Mathis Beaulieu.

It underlines the existing strong relationship between Triathlon Canada and Super League Triathlon, and the desire of both to encourage and promote young talent to develop through the system.
