In Partnerschaft mit dem internationalen Fachverband World Triathlon veranstaltet Super League Triathlon in diesem Jahr die weltweit erste eSport Triathlon Weltmeisterschaft: Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift. Die Eventserie findet im Frühjahr 2022 in drei Städten rund um den Globus statt. Am 9. April 2022 macht die Weltmeisterschaftsserie Halt in München. Im legendären Münchner Olympiapark treten die besten Triathleten:innen der Welt gegeneinander an mit der Aussicht am Ende der Serie als erster offizielle eSport Triathlon Weltmeister:in gekrönt zu werden.

Jedes Arena Games Triathlon Event besteht aus Vorrunden und einem Finale. In den Vorrunden werden jeweils zwei Rennen mit den Disziplinen Schwimmen, Radfahren und Laufen absolviert. Im Finale treten dann die schnellsten zehn Athleten:innen des Tages im einzigartigen Triple-Mix-Format der Super League gegeneinander an – drei knallharte aufeinanderfolgende Kurztriathlons mit den Disziplinen Schwimmen, Radfahren und Laufen. Besonders hart und herausfordernd: Die Reihenfolge der jeweiligen Disziplinen wird für jede Runde neu festgelegt. Besonders spannend: Die letzte Etappe ist jeweils ein Verfolgungsrennen. Die 200 m Schwimmen finden im Becken des Olympiaschwimmbads statt. Die 4-Kilometer-Radstrecke wird auf dem Rollentrainer und die 1-Kilometer-Laufstrecke auf einem Laufband absolviert. Diese beiden Disziplinen werden in der virtuellen Welt von Zwift, der weltweit führenden Online Training- und Rennplattform umgesetzt. Zwift bietet detaillierte Daten in Echtzeit und ermöglicht es Zuschauern hautnah dabei zu sein.

SLT Arena Games Triathlon ist ein innovatives Rennkonzept, das im Jahr 2021 während der globalen Corona-Pandemie von Super League Triathlon aus der Not heraus geboren wurde und mittlerweile Fans auf der ganzen Welt – auch außerhalb der Triathlon-Community – gewinnen konnte. Mit Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift haben Super League Triathlon und World Triathlon dieses Konzept nun auf die nächste Stufe gehoben. Im Jahr 2022 wird die Arena Games Triathlon-Meisterschaftsserie in drei Events in drei ikonischen Städten rund um den Globus ausgetragen. Beim großen Finale in Singapur werden die Gesamtsieger (Frauen & Männer) der Serie zum ersten eSport Triathlon Weltmeister:in aller Zeiten gekürt!

ARENA GAMES RENNFORMAT

Jedes Event  besteht aus mehreren Rennen mit Vorrunden und einem Finale, in dem Punkte und Preisgeld vergeben werden. In den Vorrunden werden zwei Etappen mit den Disziplinen Schwimmen, Radfahren und Laufen absolviert. Im Finale treten die schnellsten zehn Athleten:innen des Tages im einzigartigen Triple-Mix-Format der gegeneinander an, bei dem drei aufeinanderfolgenden Kurztriathlons mit den Disziplinen Schwimmen, Radfahren und Laufen absolviert werden müssen. Die 200 m Schwimmen finden im Becken des Olympiaschwimmbads statt, während die 4-Kilometer-Radstrecke und die 1-Kilometer-Laufstrecke auf Smart-Trainern und Curved Laufbändern absolviert werden, wobei die Leistung der Athleten:innen über die Online-Plattform von Zwift in ein virtuelles Rennen umgesetzt wird. Zwischen den drei Etappen liegen jeweils ein paar Minuten Pause. Die Schnellsten eines Rennens werden also mit einer längeren Pausen belohnt. Die Ergebnisse der drei einzelnen Etappen werden zusammengerechnet, um am Ende den:die Gesamtsieger:in zu ermitteln.

Bei den Arena Games München werden die besten Triathleten:innen der Welt in den schnellsten, aufregendsten und brutalsten Rennen gegeneinander antreten. Während des Events führen SLT-Moderatoren live vor Ort durch das Renngeschehen. Großbildleinwände ermöglichen es, die Rennen so nah wie möglich mitzuverfolgen.

Reservierte Sitzplätze auf der Zuschauertribüne mit Blick auf den Pool, sowie die Rad- und Laufstationen. Ermäßigter Preis für Kinder unter 14 Jahren.

Für Tickets wird eine nicht erstattungsfähige Buchungsgebühr von 2 € pro Transaktion plus 5 % des Ticketwerts erhoben.

Zeitplan

Der detaillierte Zeitplan wird näher zum Veranstaltungstag finalisiert und ist derzeit vorläufig. Nach derzeitigem Planungsstand ist Einlass ab 16:00 Uhr. Das Frauenfinale ist für 17:20 terminiert und der Start des Männerfinales ist für 18:30 Uhr vorgesehen.

Coronabestimmungen

Die am Veranstaltungstag aktuell gültigen Coronabestimmungen kommen zur Anwendung. Zum heutigen Zeitpunkt (17. Feb 2022) erfordert dies den Nachweis des Impfstatus oder Genesenennachweis (2G) eines jeden Besuchers. Zusätzlich ist das Tragen einer FFP2 Maske vorgeschrieben.

Der nächstgelegene Flughafen zum Olympiapark ist der Flughafen München (MUC) mit einer Entfernung von 27 km. Der Olympiapark ist vom Flughafen aus leicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Steige am am Flughafen München in die S-Bahn und in Moosach in die U-Bahn um.
