SLT Scoring System
Because SLT Races are so different compared to standard triathlon, we only use results and times from our events to generate our scores. Once the season kicks off, we reset our scoring system. During the seasonal races we rank the set field against each other in order to understand how the athletes are performing in real time.
SLT Season Results
- Each score is calculated based on the athlete’s times for a particular discipline across all formats. The score is then ranked to give you the average finishing position.
- The average finishing position is calculated as a field percentage (%).
- The field percentage (%) is then used to give you the athlete’s score out of 10.
Transition score is a great way of looking at how an athlete is performing in comparison to the other competitors based on their actual data from actual races! No relying on reputation or ego, simply performance.
Execution shows if an athlete is over- or underperforming on a race day and who the real performers are. If an athlete has ‘UNKNOWN’, he or she has not competed in a SLT Race yet. We will know their scores once the season kicks off.
