Martin Cawte Appointed Super League Triathlon’s Chief Commercial Officer

Super League Triathlon are delighted to confirm the appointment of Martin Cawte as the company’s new Chief Commercial Officer.

Martin has more than 16 years of experience in growing revenues across multiple sectors and disciplines including sports where he has delivered impressive results for National Governing Bodies, mass participation and professional leagues.

He was pivotal in launching IRONMAN’s first European-wide sales strategy in 2014, growing revenue across sponsorship, exhibition and digital, and then bringing on global brands such as Tag Heuer, Maserati and Technogym to the Square Mile Relay, a global corporate running series where he won Gold for the best multi-market event at the Ex Awards.

Martin joins Super League from the National Governing Body, Badminton England, where he launched their digital transformation strategy, placing data and insight at the heart of the organisation. Built around a reach, engagement and revenue model, it resulted in making the organisation less reliant on government funding by generating more of their own monies.

Martin said:

I’m driven by innovation; deconstructing and reconstructing products to produce sports hits that resonate with fans and other stakeholders. Super League Triathlon is built from this process and after hearing the passion from Founders Michael D’hulst, Chris McCormack and Leonid Boguslavsky, I was bought into the vision straight away.

The focus has been on the product, then the audience and now it is time to focus on the commercialisation of this so I’m excited to be joining Super League Triathlon as the Chief Commercial Officer to lead on the next stage of growth.

Super League Triathlon CEO Michael D’hulst added:

I am delighted to have Martin join Super League Triathlon at an important moment in our growth. Martin’s understanding and experience of corporate offerings and B2B in sport and his outstanding work with the Square Mile Relay make him a fantastic addition to the team.

Super League Triathlon is preparing for some big things and 2021 is looking like a very exciting year for us. Martin will be a vital member of the management team to help drive us forward.
